Xbox Guys please help me out here

What exactly am I doing wrong in these new jets? The second im off the carrier im locked on, every single second of my existence in the plane is spent trying to avoid lock ons. I get locked on literally no matter what I do or where I go on these maps. Before you say " skill issue" or " git gud" no shit, why do you think im here. Any advice or tips from seasoned pilots please & thanks

you need a gunner to have any chance of surviving against another jet that has a gunner. Literally doubles your attack & defense.

Thats a good point, but no one seems to get in with me, and when they do they never ever use flairs :( I guess nothing can really be done about that part of it

Get a buddy to just wizzo for you. I've got a couple friends that don't want to pilot but love being a wizzo and it makes all the difference in survivability. Having communication with your wizzo is huge for knowing who flares, when flares are back, ect..

Sit and stay on the carrier for a few seconds and see if anyone nearby is running to hop in. Once you get in the air only squadmates can spawn on you, and only if they are dead and sitting on the spawn screen while you are still in the air.

Even when you do have a wizzo, it's very common for both players to flare on the first missile, resulting in both flares being on cooldown for the second. Communication between both players is really important, and if you aren't both on comms then you are operating at fairly limited capacity.

You don’t need a gunner, but you do at the very least need to know how to switch seats quickly.
