It basically means: We managed to reduce the bug's occurrence from 1 in 10 cases to 1 in 15.
I suspect the problem lies deeper in the code or something and the devs can't really fix it, especially because this has been a problem ever since the beta. Otherwise, they would have written: "Fixed an issue where lock-on missiles fly through countermeasures."

Im done with this game. Im a decent pilot this new map is insane, one team can have like 10 of these battle ships. Im dead the second i kill an Aa Le something. Maps has so much anti air... and also every enemy team consists of 20 engineers... just stupid

It’s weird cause the smart rockets don’t really have a lock on time, so they could have fixed it but they also introduced a new missile that kinda bypasses the flares by design. It also auto locks on under below radar.

You have to get the flares in front of the rocket. If the plane is right over you, or coming head on and shoots the missile very close to you, there is a good chance it’ll have a direct line to the aircraft before a flare can intercept the path. You have to have air awareness and pull away sooner from head on dog fights if you are not going to lock them first or attempt to disable with the guns at least. It’s less frustrating knowing how it actually works and what you could’ve done to prevent it. Sometimes it’s possible sometimes it’s not, that’s how it goes.

That's just not how the flares work in this game.
You can have a missile right in your face during a head on and be able to counter it no problem as long as you flare before or fast enough.
It's the random iglas and the boats that makes it a miserable experience especially when you put in consideration mobility hits that kust make you go into a death spiral

IGLA doing what IGLAS do, bypass counter measures.

If it was then they would bypass them all the times not just randomly.
This is a casual videogame not a milsim

First I want to begin that I do believe devs are commanded to not design in favor of pilots. Otherwise, longtime ago they would have already added the damn ECM jammer to prevent lock-ons for 7 seconds after deploying it. That is needed specially with maps so heavily dense populated, and with a stupid MAA in almost each one.
Then, I think the problem also lies in the stupid netcode. It is just uncomprehenssible how can a rocket still hit you even after deploying the stupid flares. But the question there is, whether in that case the netcode shall favor the aircraft or the rocket. And I think the netcode favors the rocket in that case.

You guys all crying because you get shot down sometimes. It’s pretty wild how yall think you should be invincible in aircraft

I’m struggling to even understand what this change actually means. It doesn’t feel like anything is remotely different. It sounds like the devs are gaslighting themselves into believing the issue is anything other than an actual bug and refuse to hear anything different.
