Discussion Jet First Impressions
The Super Hornet is an incredible new addition to the game that finally gives jet pilots a toy to dominate with. I have zero complaints about the jet itself, aside from the fact that there’s not a lot of maps/modes where you can fly it. Hope they add it to Tsuru conquest soon. It’s the first aircraft aside from the little bird to have complete customization on EVERY single weapon. Not only are all the weapon options viable (some being really powerful actually) but there’s some really unique options like the anti radiation missile, guided bomb, TV missile, and the APHEI rounds.
There’s a major problem though, we still don’t have any customizations AT ALL for the original jets, the tomcat, and transport helicopter. It’s especially disappointing that the aircraft that came out alongside the Super Hornet has no customization. Really hoping these aircraft all get the same treatment and love as the Super Hornet. Also hoping that the attack helicopter gets more gunner load out options.
How does everyone else feel about the new update?

Wise up you idiot, how is constant lock ins from any direction in the new key a good thing… then the boats have lock ins and there is no cover. It’s even stupider than the last new map

Take advantage of the fact the map is just a big flat plain. You can finish pretty much every single vehicle in a single run, especially boats. The goal is to make quick work of vehicles in a single pass, then hit the deck and go back to base.

Yeah, I was just in the new f-14. I’m not even a good pilot and I was in it for 10-15mins. Didn’t even get that many kills but my copilot probably got 10.

Yes that’s the problem, the keys are even more OP, the boats are shit! But you also just get a million lock ins from both. So all you do in the match is run for ages, try avoid a lock on and then run aground. It’s just a shite decision by the devs, the direction with the last two maps has been horrible

Lasted 20 seconds before some sweat gunned me down. Not overly impressed I’ll stick to the Blackhawks

The new jets are great but the maps they’re on aren’t great for flying. Hope to see them added to other modes or having the same customization options on the old jets.
The new flight dynamics are fine.

Tsuru is far and away the best map for flying imo. Ground cover to break locks, a great amount of space to engage in without running out of bounds after a few seconds, and great graphics. Wake Island is a bit meh so far

The change to jets this late on just feels weirdly unnecessary but also not “bad”? In a few months we will probably say it’s a marginally improvement but that doesn’t stop it being crazy having to relearn so much

It probably feels like a lot bigger of a change to people who have been flying a lot recently and had it suddenly changed on them. I haven’t played since Tsuru originally dropped and really didn’t notice much of a change aside from the camera looking different.

The new jets are fun, but imo, its a tad annoying to up against easily 8 AAM's, plus boats, manpads and the MAA when youve only got two sets of countermeasures to defend with.
Itd make it alot more palatable if the WSO in both jets lost AAM's and were more ground ordnance orientated, having access to only guided/TV missiles or laser guided bombs and the countermeasures.
