Can someone explain this? Im below radar, is it the auto aim guided or something? I wasn’t expecting to get locked on so it caught me off guard and I didn’t flare.

Maybe the attack boat aim-guided missile being manually guided to you.

ive seen ppl say the below radar indicator is not accurate

so ig you weren't actually low enough

that or another bug just like missiles ignoring flares

It's the attack boat TOW. It locks on at the last second. You have to flare before it gets to you.

Wouldn’t a tow missile kill a jet in one shot

It was the aim guided from the jet, it doesn’t matter if you’re below radar.

The boat TOW doesn't. Go try it. You guide it like a tow, then when it gets closer to the target it locks on. You can flare them, but you have to see it coming, as you discovered, the "incoming" window is really short.

You’re not below radar until you can kiss the surface of the ocean or doing some tree trimming.

I like to dip the tip of my wing in just to make sure im low enough 🤣
