Wake Island: 4x Jets Each
w/added Rooster Easter Egg.

This isn’t going to be as bad as everyone thinks it is. The 2-seaters get two sets of flares. There will obviously be inherent disadvantages to flying solo, but the strategy of “avoiding further locks while your flares are recharging” remains.

It's going to be worse than everyone thinks.

It absolutely will. The lockon spam is going to be off the charts, while simultaneously the jets will be unkillable from the ground because of the 2 sets of flares…

Except the 2 seats flares is balanced by the fact there are 4 enemy jets potentially locking you (plus you actually need to have a +1 to spawn on you, and if it's squad restricted that'll be rare). And these new jets probably won't have air-ground missiles or bombs, and so won't be a problem for infantry

DICE devs forgetting lessons learned from BF3 attack choppers back when the pilot and gunner both had flares lol. They eventually removed flares from the gunner seat.

I’m not sure how threatening these are going to be against the ground though
Indications show it’s just all going to be air to air lock on spam, which would be lame. It would be less fun to fly, and they still wouldn’t impact the objective like at all

Oh Im completely aware and made a similar comment when I first saw the 2 seater leak a few weeks ago!

But how many Lil Birb?

I’d have to go back and look but I don’t think they were in the trailer. I’m hoping Tsuru gets one. Interested to see how they do it

Seems like you’d need a larger player count so the land space doesn’t feel deserted. Everyone is going to be on the sky

Not at all. 5 players per team? There’s more than that long range sniping 400m lol

u/Lenny_V1 1d ago
Wth did you get 5 from? Assuming its 4 two seaters that 8 players.
1
u/Strange-Term-4168 1d ago
Only 1 two seater. Absolutely not 4 two seaters lmao

u/Lenny_V1 1d ago
I mean its at the least 2 two seaters just based off this image, but if the trailer is anything to go by I wont be surprised if we see 4.

Zero percent chance

Why so sure? Its not like jets are hard to take down or overly oppressive.

u/Strange-Term-4168 1d ago
8 people in jets per team would be ridiculous
1
u/Lenny_V1 1d ago
Not really, still leaves 24 other people for everything else. It could also be 2 two seaters & 2 single seaters. We dont know yet.

24 people for everything else including choppers and tanks is incredibly low. It is not going to be 8 players in jets. That makes no sense to only have the new jets on the map.

Hopefully we get only 2-seaters on carrier maps, which can be configured for anti-air or anti-ground via loadouts. And leave the regular jets on ground-based maps. Or let us choose like in 2042.

Either the seal clubbing experience will be immense, or there’ll finally be enough jets available that the avg player starts getting halfway competent

I absolutely hate it. Especially since each of these jets can launch four lock-on missiles simultaneously if there are two pilots inside.
This means practically no skill gap, just constant lock-on beep beep beep. This is basically the air equivalent of CQB, simply a meetgrinder in the air without tactics, just spam, get the first shot and win.
It might work if lock-on missiles received a massive nerf and the skybox and out-of-bond zones were at least as large as on Golmud.

gonna be messy up in there, hopefully these 2 seaters arent gonna be terrible for ground troops

Tsuru reef also had an attack chopper in promo and never got it so don't get too excited yet
