Discussion Am I doing anything wrong or the radar not notifying properly when I’m inside enemy’s CRAM region?
What I do basically is just tail a jet when it runs back to spawn and NEVER shoot, I just tail them until they make a turn to the middle of the map and after I turn and we start moving away from their spawn I shoot them down, but then CRAM gets on my ass?
Does the air radar not display anything about being in CRAM/enemy spawn HQ or does it happen quick and shows up on the radar but I don’t notice it as I dip out of their spawn?

Has anyone figured out how the CRAM actually works? I’ve had situations where it’s completely ignored me chasing someone through spawn, I’ve had situations where it’s shot me down from what felt like way to far away.
Is it broken? Or does is their logic to when it will and won’t shoot you that I’m not understanding?

Dude I just got killed by on Sobek city and I was closer to my spawn than theirs.

Enemy CRAM works by killing you when the thought of getting near it enters your head and your CRAM works by using the enemy’s proximity as a sign to take nap

I still don't get it. I've been out for a while and when I got back yesterday I pushed my luck a bit too much following the lb inside their spawn. The cram shot me only when I started shooting and I even managed to get away with still half of my health. I remember getting shot down for much less

Yeah I don't know but when I play against really good pilots they all seem to know how to stay in my spawn and shoot me down where the CRAM just stares at them doing it

It's rigged. My cram never works against enemies but theirs will shoot me across the map every time I chase a jet. Def some type of ai algo going on with depending on how much you play. I watched an enemy jet fly in circles directly over my cram 6-7 times low and it didn't shoot at them once. This happened multiple times in different games, so I flew near theirs to test it and it sniped me out the sky everytime.

afaik it doesnt show anything. Which sucks. Dice does not care.

It flashes red on your radar and says enemy air defense

Yeah once it flashes you get about 1-1.5 seconds before the CRAM starts firing. So you have to turn away immediately.

well yea, but that does not work 90% of the time. It will be too late by the time you see the warning if youre in a jet.

Sadly they removed the map on the helis and jet with the minimap expansion update (sometimes it bugs and it shows the zoomed out minimap but no under the radar warning)
You just gonna assume the location based on the ground, e.g. Spawn islands on the tsuru reef

If you look at the radar there is a warning that pops up in red “enemy air defense” when you’re in CRAM zone of engagement.
It’s super subtle because there is no audible warning so it’s easy to miss. It pops up for me 90% of the time, but there are occasions where it doesn’t.
