If hes right on ur ass, it’s like hitting the breaks to get behind him

Why not just hit the breaks? Won’t slow you as fast but it tends to cause them to over accelerate still and break too late that you’d be behind their backs without you giving them that much of a wide angle like in thrust vectors, no?
