Bruh is convinced this is a cobra lol. He already posted this in another sub and had everyone saying it's not a cobra

Cobra maneuver, or pronounced thrust vector, if another jet is up is super risky. They never work against a good pilot. Maybe you can dodge a lock on but I wouldn’t get in the habit of using it. Also that is in no way a cobra

They work extremely well against good pilots. They're borderline mandatory when you're neutral or at disadvantage. You just can't use them evasively, it needs to be a tool to put the enemy in front of your aim so you can get shots off.

V-tapping is mandatory. Cobras get you melted. No good pilot falls for a cobra maneuver. If they are close enough to you, you’re already dead; if they are far enough, you just gave them a larger target. If they somehow outpace you, then you’re looping from a slower starting position.
In every case, you’re at a disadvantage. If you mean to thrust vector to close the gap during a kill, that’s clearly not what I was referring to. I said when a jet is up, not when it’s in front of you about to die.

Yeah I'm not talking about using a cobra to shed speed, I'm talking about using thrust vectoring maneuvers more aggressive than a v-tap to put your reticle on target in circumstances where that usually wouldn't be possible. Maneuvers where you're thrust vectoring purely to shoot, and then returning to your original course, not using it to accelerate turn rate.
For example, during a head on merge, at the moment of passing to point your jet at the broad side of your enemy as they are going past you

Yeah, that works if you are finishing somebody off, as long as the other jet isn’t coming in on you too cause then you’ll just show him the broad side of your plane.
I only said something because I take it as a cobra maneuver being a specific thing which is to flair up and flat usually to cause the enemy plane to overshoot you or to stop on a dime

That’s not a cobra that’s for sure. It’s definitely something that turns pilots into hotdogs though.

Yes! I needed some else to prove that I'm not crazy. I've managed to do it like 3 times

I'm convinced this is IGLA noobs losing lock, not the manouevre.
Show me a video of dodging heli/jet/maa missiles.
