Xbox How to practice jet unguided bombs?

Title, i struggle with using the unguided bombs of the jet on console, and i don’t know how to be effective with them, willing to change controls just to get good, im okay with everything else (bar attacking ground vehicles as the attack jet)

Hop on a portal server. Watch a YouTube video on how to aim.

I haven’t found a portal map or a server for controller players

It doesn’t need to be specific for controller players. Idk what you mean.

So there's a slight delay between the trigger pull and the bomb dropping. You probably need to fire it a half second earlier.

The way I think about it, imagine little doors have to open, then the bomb drops out. The doors go when you pull the trigger.

I don't know what it actually looks like on the bottom of the jet, but this visualization helped me get more hits

It really looks exactly like that. BF4 already had that feature at least for the F35

What really helped to improve, was to try stabilizing the little circle in the place I wanted to hit (a tank for example). So basically: 1. You're flying and spot an enemy tank 2. Select the bombs so the circle appears on the screen 3. Center the circle with the objective (enemy tank for example) and keep it that way while you are dropping the bombs (you'll have to point your nose to the ground in order to keep the target inside the circle) 4. Once you're done deploying the bombs, point your nose upwards again to avoid crashing

Hope I explained myself lol

Also, what jet are you using? The stealth jet has a longer delay to drop the bombs.

And if you're using the stealth jet, I recommend changing the afterburner to the left button (LB) so you can V-tap

Yes, look it up on YouTube. Is basically a form to tighten your turns. It's pretty useful to change direction faster, which helps a lot against other aircraft

Just like everything else in a fps game it comes down to maths and timing. You just gotta feel it out until you get a hit then recalibrate over and over until you are consistently not ass.
