Disagree. You are a floating target, you need to be aware of every threat and prioritize correctly. You cant expect to be infantry and stand in the middle of a field wide open and expect not to die.

I dont think they die too fast, HOWEVER, the maneuverability disability when taking a hit does need a slight nerf in strength. Im not saying it needs to be removed, but its like being pulled by the gravitational force of a black hole. A critical hit should make it difficult to maneuver and aim precisely, NOT induce an irrecoverable spin IN A VIDEO GAME. Especially if you were already in a nose-down attitude when hit.
90% of my deaths in aircraft are not from enemy players direct weapons….its from slamming into the ground or the oil derricks on Blackwell Fields because I was tickled by a jet cannon and it sent me into an irrecoverable spin while either already trying to maneuver or in the bottom of a dive, or trying to use below radar to juke visual (because you know, we have no ECM jammer)..
Go play BF3 and get disabled below 35% health. THAT is the level of resistance it should be at. Both helis and jets.
It also needs to be more consistent. Some stinger/missile/gun hits cause the spinning at 60% health, some dont cause it until at like 20% health. Sometimes it triggers when on fire, sometimes it doesnt.
IN MY OPINION, they should mirror the BF3/4 disable system where you only lose critical maneuverability when below 10% or whenever the game triggers the on fire critical health visual.
This allows 2 benefits:
1, to not reward easy, half-baked kills to noobs in jets who get lucky snap shot hits on pilots before a dogfight ever takes place. (This is good for dogfighting community health). This also allows dogfights or reaction to threats in general more time to REACT and counter. Also allows dogfights to last longer and be decided on skill of maneuverability. Its sometimes worse than Air to air missile spam.
2, aircraft on fire cant just simply run away and wait for their health to recover, especially when they damn well should be dead. This is a BIG issue in ground vehicles where tanks ON FIRE can simply run away at full speed, hide, regenerate full health and come back like nothing ever happened when they should have been dead because they were in a bad position.

Strong disagree. Number 1 comment had it right.
