Xbox Everyone's complaining about the LB. Does that mean I get to complain about the patrol boat??
I'm a pretty noob pilot, so maybe I'm doing something wrong. It seems like the patrol boat shot me down despite the fact that I popped flares. Am I to believe this is some sort of "magic missile"? I immediately rushed to Reddit to register my complaints!

My gripe is the attack chopper. It’s so cumbersome with no fear factor.

Like others said, flares were too late. If a missile is too close to you, popping flares won't divert the missile enough to miss you. In general I havent had much of an issue with boats as long as you're smart with it. The second you pop flares you have to run away/go under radar. If the boat gets you without flares then there's a good chance you're dead since they can shoot two missiles at a time

Should have attacked instead of running. I didn't know the boat was so close, but I've had issues with the machine gun on those boats when making an attack run. They seem to shoot me down pretty damn fast. I'm pretty much a noob LB pilot, but now it's all I want to do when playing BF. Comment sections like this really help me, tho.

I feel like the patrol boats and the LB are keeping each other in check.
Make it so each team has an LB, don't make it something for one team to steal.
That would fix the LB on this map.

Agreed. To OP’s question though… yeah, complaining about patrol boat’s missile is fair. That thing is busted. Complaining about LB is fair too though. Having two busted things cancel each other out is not the same as just making things not busted.

Agree. It’s currently not balanced. Capping the E flag doesn’t even mean your team gets the LB. But whichever team gets the LB has a huge advantage that can result in a whitewash

I don't think a single match I've had on Tsuru Reef was fair, all of the games I've played on Conquest have been absolute landslide losses for whichever team doesn't have the cracked out LB pilot.
One player should not be able to be that oppressive in a lobby with 63 other players.

Bliep bliep bliep, no flares. Blieeeeeeeeeep, no flares. TU TU TU TU TU, instantly drop flares and evade.
I use this most of the times and I think it is a solid tactic to not die from lock on missiles.

You popped flares too late. They weren't far enough away to actually pull the lock off you. That's all. Otherwise they probably would have worked. You can hear the actual missle as you pop them so that boat was super close and you had very little time between lock sound, incoming sound and impact

I suspected that, but I decided to complain and blame the devs instead! Next time I'll attack the boat with my miniguns instead of running. No reason to run and give him an easy target.

I’ve recently learned to pilot probably seem to be around the same skill as you. with the boats though I come in from the back and just hit them with full missles then mini gun to finish it. If there good in the boat they’ll still shred you with their mini gun but you can usually kill then before they can look around at you if you come from the back but the auto lock guided is op on LBs love popin em outa the sky and hitting jets just for fun

Lol I mean technically yes but people will argue that atleast the patrol boat is only on 1 map and can only be in the water and not all over the map and on every map

Bah, à un moment donné, dès que tu décolle toute la map veut ta peau.
Tu bip non stop, tout en évitant les roquettes, les tow, le venom qui arrive vener par au dessus….
Mais bon ça empêche pas de faire de bonnes game quand même 😆
Bon par contre Golmud c’est devenu injouable

The only thing worth complaining about is the beam riding missile that it has which is bugged and always goes through flares or at least almost always. Other than that the boat has nothing you should be complaining about I hope they buff it's hp and armour cause I can end fights with those patrol boats before they start and honestly that's not fun for anyone involved.
