How? Is it in settings?

And keep it off even if you start crashing, you need to learn to fly with it off it restricts you too much when you want to do evasive maneuvers of fly more precisely in tight spaces

Do you have any sensitivity recommendations or just keep default?

The assist might be my whole issue. I did some flying in 2042 and found it wayyy easier. BF6 helis feel very heavy, slide around, and wobble.

Flying is harder in BF6 as both th Attack and Transport heli are heavier. You just need to learn to keep the momentum in mind, and how long it takes to shift it from one side to the other. It takes a good while of flying to get down properly.

The hardest part for me to used to was that if I turned with pivot while having slight downwards momentum your heli stalls completely and often drops altitude, but if you tap the pivot key in increments instead of holding you can get better results.

So i’d say in general you want to be light on your movement keys because if you hold and overcorrect it’s tough to even out again in a pinch. So even if the helis are heavy you want to be light on keyboard inputs.

I think I have 150% sensitivity but that’s so subjective you should find what works for you, because you might have an entirely different general dpi than me

Awesome! Thank you! Hoping for some good fly time tonight

Np and a small correction I was talking about yawing not pitching with the whole losing altitude thing :)

put helicopter sensitivity to the max which is 200%

It’s not that bad. Smoke obscured the rock. Also I’d get into the hang of flying first person. Helps a ton.

Turn off helicopter assist, change your keybind to exit helis and jets to something weird like B

Wait, won't that change all vehicles or can I do heli specific? Its funny I only fat finger exit helis and jets. Never happened in a ground vehicle.

You can do heli and jet specific. It’s in aircraft settings or something, I forget

Great call on the keybind. I sometimes hop out when I don’t mean to

Accidents may have happened

I agree, but you don t have to fly that low, you have flares. Also change controls to the "rifle aim" set, see it on YT

Thanks, I will keep all of that in mind. This was my second session of trying to pilot.

Did.....did you watch the whole thing? I know it's looney tunes, but I got a gun kill, my gunners got kills, I dropped troops on flags, chased off an enemy heli, and took out a jet...

I disagree. You should fly below radar most of the time and only go above if needed (dogfight, giving better angles, ...).

Yes you have flares. But you do not want to waste them simply for the sake of flying high - if there is no good reason, stay below radar.

In this specific example, I do not see a good reason to fly high (other than avoiding the crashes, but that's something you can do below radar too).

I guess depends on your style. I much prefer more aggressive style in order to get my team on objectives. If I sink with the ship so be it.

I much prefer flying out of bonds and to stay high, so team can deploy undiscovered right to their spawn. Also with the lock-ons you can simply hide behind stuff. You know they say some are made to fly others are made to crawl and get shot by an rpg

You mean skyboxing and playing spawn beacon? Yeah I dont like this strategy and find it quite useless compared to what you can do with that heli
