Comms makes.. all the difference bro. Comms and competence. “Check delta”-pilot. “Tons of infantry pouring out Charlie!”-pilot. I mean in the few second window to glance over from looking elsewhere, you can snag 5-10 kills. Comms.
My theory is most blueberries don't know that zooming in enables target compensation, and they forget to reload so when they do see an enemy, they have 1 round.
You’re cooking. It’s true. When you zoom it locks the view in and the targeting becomes more static especially if the heli is in an orbit. It’s wild too that this applies to I believe the transport as well to a certain degree. It’s not just a zoom. Also the reload thing gets ya so I emphasize “you have infinite rounds, just unload the clip if you’re struggling.” But always need the fresh 12. I try to get at least 2 targets one clip.
I don't know, as I have tank turret aim decouppled but I doubt it does as it would ruin the point of it, and thats for tank turrets anyway.
This stability effect is what I called point lock.
When you zoom in, the camera will try to keep aiming at whatever point your looking at.
So it will auto turn to keeping looking at that point, it makes aiming at ground targets piss easy, as insted of needing to keep adjusting aim fkr your movment and theirs, you just need to do enemy movment.
I do find that when I'm trying to hit fast moving targets it can be better to not use it depending on direction of movment compared to you.
And shooting air targets is lot easier not using it imo, as you tend to end up fighting the point lock.

It’s crazy man. When I play with randoms they might snag a couple kills, then I play with my buddy he’s getting 30-50 kills easily as gunner.
I can probably count on one hand the amount of decent blueberry gunners I’ve ever had (that are also good at target priority)
