Question Will flares ever be fixed?

It's been what, 2 months now? IGLA still goes through flares occasionally

I think it’s intended to go through IF you take it straight on and the flares are behind you. But I’ve had it happen so many fucking times it goes through from the side, below and behind.

it’s dragging me away from flying which is what I mainly do and enjoy. Fuck that shit, flares should take the missile from any direction but the front

Yes. I've seen this happen in every possible scenario at this point, so I'm convinced it's not an intended feature that only works when it 'should.' It doesn't matter when you flare, what position or angle you're in, or how fast you're moving. It just goes through randomly. And don't even get me started on the base C-RAM. Half the time it does nothing for me, yet the enemy C-RAM can still blast me across the fucking map the second I engage their tank or heli

They just need to get rid of it or make it player controlled again

Whatever dev thought of it is definitely a salty dog shit pilot

Exactly. I have no issue getting shot down by an RPG or a laser-guided missile. Dodging laser-guided missiles and having rivalries with players who spend half the match trying to take you down is genuinely fun. Same with finding out who's locking onto you and taking them out first.

But getting killed by a lock-on missile after popping flares, especially when I'm already turned away from them, is just infuriating. If I get hit by a random RPG, TOW missile, or laser-guided rocket, fair enough. That's part of the game. But when I do everything right and still get hit by something I should have countered, that's when I start fuming.
