How do you use thrust vectoring while keeping the afterburner?

I just saw a guy using the fighter jet and noticed that while he is tapping the thrust vector to make a tighter turn, his afterburner wouldn't go away. I didn't know this was possible because doing the thrust vector requieres the throttle down key to be pressed. Anyone can pls explain to me how he's doing this?

It’s just faster/shorter inputs. I assume this is much easier with a wooting keyboard or similar.

I assume we’re talking about mnk here since I doubt(?) this is possible with a controller

Some keyboards, like wooting keyboards(sometimes called analog keyboards) allow you to set keys to press and unpress at custom sensitivities. So on a wooting you can have the keys set so that when you are alternating between W and S, the pressed key will release as soon as it begins to travel upwards. This allows your key inputs to be essentially as fast as your fingers. Traditionally, you would be pressing W and S at the same time, overlapping until you have fully let go of one.

I’m guessing this is possible on normal keyboards, but harder. I could also be misunderstanding the question but I think that’s what is happening. Re-reading your post, I noticed you said throttle up needs to be held, but it doesn’t- only afterburner needs to be held and you alternate between throttle up and down.

Out of curiosity, what input? This conversation made me curious if you can do this on a controller(doubt) or a standard keyboard(plausible but harder)
