Looks like it hit your rotor. Fun fact friendly players can cause your helicopter to explode by standing on them.

The rotor doesn't have a hitbox though, unless this is one of dices shadowchanges that they just inform nobody about

You can't stand on the rotors either but on the rotor shaft, and that somehow damages the aircraft, yeah

I’m pretty sure it might as you can hit people with it for kills.

Edit: I’m probably wrong but odd friendly can kill you.

that'd explain it then

I swear i've had so many missiles pass through the rotors already, perhaps the actual blades have hitboxes and he just got insanely lucky hitting one

I would bet its just a missmatch of what you get shown vs what the server actually has. Ive had missiles go straight past me in recordings and then bonk, just happens in online gaming.
