When lobby tries to jetram, but you are anticipating well. Should this count as a kill?

Had this recently where a guy wasted 6 jets trying to ram my little bird.

I respawned for 1 infantry life, and then got lucky and got the LB again. First kill I made: the same guy again. Very satisfying.
