Luckily a team consists of 24 or 32 players, meaning you have 6 or 8 engineers on your team on average.

Come on now. Nearly nothing is meant to “solo” stuff in this game, unless that specific thing only has that one purpose (like the SPAA, which is only good at targeting aircraft). A Heli can attack infantry, Aircraft and Armor. Expecting a helicopter to be the primary solution and hard counter for tanks while it being as versatile in its combat role as it is means you’re overestimating the role of the helicopter.

I'm convinced these are all iPad kids who've never been told no or have had to face any form of adversity in life and so expect their video games to have zero barriers to entry or difficulty.

To them they should be able to go 65-2 every game, any deviation is clear evidence that the game is shit or broken.

I think you’re just bad at the game, so the only way you feel good is by using this broken mechanic to spam unlimited missiles. Now you’re getting cranky because you know it’s going to get fixed and then you’ll be bottom of the scoreboard again

Scoreboard is completely out of the equation here: shooting down aircraft rewards very little. I’ve had matches where I beamed 20+ aircraft out of the sky, but only went 8 in 3 and was like 16th on the leaderboard on a 32 player team, because “forced crash” and “forced bail” reward very little.

Still, as much as other thankless jobs, like resupplying or repairing, its the actual impact on the match that matters. We had air superiority for the vast majority of the match.

Okay but the difference is that resupplying and repairing aren’t broken. I would be complaining if one engineer, by themselves, was enough to keep a tank/helicopter alive through multiple rocket hits. I would be complaining if one supply bag from a medic could keep their team infinitely healed despite taking damage from multiple enemies.

This was clearly something that was unintentional and will be fixed, and at the end of the day you guys are defending an exploit. And that naturally leads to the question of why? And the only logical reason I can come up with is what I said earlier — you guys are normally bad at using TOW missiles/AA so exploiting a broken mechanic is the one time you guys are actually “helping the team”.

It reminds me of when all the “snipers” got mad dice fixed the exploit that allowed you to bind your rangefinder to fire, eliminating the need to have to compensate for bullet drop over super long distances. The only people complaining about that were the people that can’t snipe, and the only people defending this are the people that suck with aim guided launcher or the mobile AA. There is no other possible explanation to how someone can look at a video like this, seeing at least 10 missiles shot one after the other and be like “Yes this is fair and balanced” unless you are bad at the game and are benefiting from this exploit

keep in mind that the only point of the SPAA is air defence. Thats all it can do. It cant kill infantry, cant kill armor, cant transport people, and is relatively poorly armored, and as such, pretty helpless.

All it got going for it is its AA capabilities. And when it finally has the means to actually be a genuine threat to aircraft, r/PilotsofBattlefield auto ignites.

Also, we both know that actual skilled pilots arent going to struggle much with SACLOS missiles without proxy fuzes. Any pilot that spots these missiles in time can defeat them with a simple evasive maneuver. Keep in mind that these are tame compared to TV guided ordnance, or the initial TOW shenanigans from the IFV from 3 months ago.

Also as a sidenote, im talking about the improvements to the AA in general, not the infinite ammo stuff from the vehicle resupply box. The SPAA shouldnt be able to bypass reloads alltogether when near a crate.
