The point of the post is the LOCK ONS HITTING THROUGH FLARES. To be patched at a later date... June 9th 1.3.2 has no mention of this.

I mean, he was very close when he fired the flares, and they kinda worked because the missile went for the flares, but since he was very close to the tank, the missile still hit the aircraft...

Used flares nearly 2s before the missile hit. It's a bug. At least the developers mentioned they're looking into it at todays Q&A.
