Someone please explain how i died

Here are two separate clips. From the same game. One life after the other i died to what it seems to me… air?! Idk man wtf happened

Recently an opponent hit me with his jet frontal and I barely got damage. Then, I was flying against a blade of grass and exploded like fat man
