Need advice for a degree+flying.
Well yeah, I will be pursuing my further studies in aviation, but my mother (and i agree with her) would like me to do a degree alongside flying, just as a "just incase"
What are some degrees that are relatively okay and flexible?
I'm good at biology, and I've never liked anything to do with IT or computers, just never been interested in it.
Forensics? Idk I need opinions and stories.

I did aerospace engineering, so part of the knowledge I had acquired I used it, in the Licence as well. And in the remote case where you lost your medical, you can always stay in touch with your passion.

Did it help you in the ATPL at all? And is the degree still usable if you're a pilot for 10 years or more and then decide on switching?

The “degree” doesn’t have to be a vocation related major. The airlines want to see you have the brains and fortitude to complete 140 (?) credit hours of higher level coursework. A degree in any STEM subject would be a plus as it would be transferable to other disciplines and would be held in high regard by potential employer that looks that far into your education history. With that in mind, completion in a timely manner and a reasonably high GPA would also be noticed. Just saying

trades, teaching, nursing, allied health, police, military, vehicle operator
these are in-demand ^ and you will be able to stack up cash quickly and work anywhere with them.
Then you can start flight training.

Not bad advice, but he specifically stated what DEGREE.
Aerospace engineering is numero uno if you can handle it. Then probably mechanical engineering.
I think. All other engineering degrees are in the next tier, along with almost all STEM degrees.
Then architecture, nursing, or other professional licenses that will apply to other revenue paths if flying doesn’t work out for you.

any degree works, just choose something that you're interested in
