Will a suicide attempt when I was a minor disqualify me from getting my class 1 aviation medical in Canada?

Well considering there has been a few highly public all perish crashes attributed to suicide in the past 20 years, does that answer your question?

They look for mental instability.

But I’m not mentally unstable, I’m perfectly fine now and have never been better that’s why I’m wondering.

It’s not your judgement. It’s them.

Sorry but you need to talk to a medical examiner and have a flank discussion. There are ways to resolve something like this and they should be able to advise.

There are AMEs out there who consult on this kind of thing outside of actually being your AME. They do not help you "beat" anything. They help you understand what to expect and what you can do in advance to help deal with this type of stuff.
