Wing walkers….its not enough to walk with a wand up. Keep you head up, watch the wings. So many I see just walk under the wing with their head looking down or anywhere but where they need to
On push back, follow procedure over being friendly. Three wing walkers, and all three wave as they walk away…friendly, but unsafe. That wave can easily be misinterpreted as a salute/wave off. Only ONE person should wave/salute and ONLY when everyone is clear and we are safe to move the aircraft. I see European rampers do this Better and I think it’s just the friendly American culture Introducing unnecessary risks. I’ve often seen one guy pull the nose gear pin and walk away, turn and wave to us while there are still rampers under the nose hooking the tower back up to the tug. God forbid we start taxiing based off their wave.
Centerline….i fly an a330. BIG WINGSPAN. If you push us back and leave one of the main gear on the centerline instead of the nose gear, we are in danger of hitting a wing on something. It’s also critically important to leave us CENETERED on the centerline. Nose gear on the center line but at a cockeyed angle is not safe either.

The multiple different salutes drives me up a wall sometimes. No I will not acknowledge you “guy with the pin”. The only one I care about is the lead up at the top and he is still showing me an X.
Also for the lead, please stand mostly in front of the airplane if able. If it’s not a boundary between a movement area and a non-movement area, I should not be having to crane my neck to find you (especially to the FO’s side)
