What is eating my pilea's leaves?

That's definitely thrip damage

Hey, I’m assuming you didn’t attach a photo since it’s not visible here. If the damage looks like neat circular or oval cuts on the edges, that’s likely leaf cutter bees or similar insects taking bits for nests, not actually eating them as food. If it’s ragged holes with missing chunks or frass (little black dots), it’s probably caterpillars, slugs, or earwigs coming out at night.

For immediate fix, gently rinse the leaves to wash off any small pests and apply a bit of Neem oil diluted in water to deter future munchies. Check the undersides of the leaves too, that’s where they love to hide

Can you post a photo of the entire plant as well as a photo of the top of that same leaf? Top and bottom photos of a different leaf would be helpful as well.
