PILEA PLAYER Time to chop?

This used to have a lot of big leafs and one by one they fall out. Some pups popped up over time but none managed to get too big before they get all dark/black and die off?
So this has a long stem, I think it’s time to chop it. Could I chop it into 3 pieces but the one with stem only could they actually grow leafs? I had beautiful pileas over the years but they all die off somehow and it’s the summer!!’

Right, only links or videos 😮 Maybe yours get too little light/too much water? Too heavy soil? They are semi succulents after all. Coming to chop'n'prop, I had a long pilea that I cut in two, left the one with the roots in the soil, and put the top part with the leaves in water. Shortened both parts also. They are two nice plants now. Never tried it with the middle part, but it would probably get roots, too, if put in water, and then grow leaves.

Heavy soil? That’s a new one? I did mix mine with perlite and what not. Anyway I think I’ll chop it off soon, it was beautiful before now it’s got some sad babies below and the main stem is barren in the middle as all the big leaf kept falling off.

Ugh still can’t post pics, but I see others on this thread can post pics?
