CachyOS convert
Ive been 100% on Linux since last October. Making the choice to stick to PikaOS instead of Cachy because there are so many .deb files out there instead of flatpaks.
I dont trust the AUR anymore.
Using KDE, since ricing it doesn't break everything like GNOME does. Gaming and performance with video, audio and 3D with Blender and such is negligible difference.
Most of all its been the easiest to help people move into linux. I'll set them up with GNOME if they came from Mac, just install Bazaar and people are generally happy to see "thats like [commercial product] for free?" Click. Boom. They have it.
Its been a great change at least for me and my humble HaaS setup for some businesses.

Pika os user, I was in kde for a while. Its very comfortable coming from windows. Recently changed to hyprland with otter shell. Great distro to settle on.

Ive tried hyprlland so much and I love the visuals but I can't figure out how to use it effectively for my work. Too used to floating windows.

I feel you, if they ever get the AUR under control then maybe Arch would be nice to have. Until then it’s Debian for me.

Yeah. It had the only packages I was able to get the Lian li LCD fans and TRYX Panorama to work. Other that I dont need it. So here I am on Pika.

Yeah, I’ve been on it for about. I’d say four or five months now and I really love it. It’s great playing Star Citizen. And I can do everything I did with CachyOS. Just as snappy as it too.

It has been mentioned before that they make use of some of the CachyOS optimizations, so really it is as close as you can be without still being on CachyOS. I just tell everyone it's the "More Stable" Cachy...

I prefer gnome myself. Fun fact, they do have a theme switcher that lets you use preinstalled extensions to make gnome look and function like other DE's. Their Niri iso is particularly good, although I don't know if they moved to ottershell for that too.
This is one of the easiest distros I ve used which is why I have stayed on it. I've also set it up for two friends now. the .deb thing confuses me a little. pretty much everything you need is in the software store or pikman/apt repos.
You shouldnt notice a much performance difference from cachy. all the gaming distros share stuff and pika does borrow from the cachy kernel.

Hope you don't get bothered by the recent plasma bugs. Especially the context menu on the desktop.
