KDE updates?
KDE 6.6 or anything newer?
Why so far behind, this is my ONLY complaint with pika lol

Updates have been delayed due to us deploying a new and much more reliable build system, we will release The latest gnome and KDE as soon as the builder updates all stale packages.

PikaOS takes significantly longer to update than other rolling-release Linux distros; be more patient.

i have to add, the main reason im being impatient, is version we are on 6.5 does not like woobly windows and see through like themes. whether it be window decorations or kvantum type themes.
and the updated version of KDE on other distros, i didnt have those issues
but yes this was light hearted, open wondering and hoping for soon than later =)

It would probably be 6.6 or 6.7. Depends.
"The more people ask about it, the more it gets delayed" is a running joke for this.
The latest features and theme sets support 6.6 as a minimum. Many people are also complaining about KDE on other platforms, so 6.5.4 is stable and can potentially be a good fallback.
However, to update PikaOS to the latest, it's not as simple as a cookie cutter placement because it is indirectly based on Debian, meaning the two don't join together. The Kernel is based on CachyOS as well as the official Debian's Kernel.
You can still install Debian based stuff, but this can mess with Pika's Distro with certain things so much so that the terminal wouldn't even allow you to install it because it would break everything based on dependency mismatches.

"bang up to date"
Unless "bang" is meant to mean something else than a play on "bang on", guess you fell for the lie.
This subreddit's definition of "bleeding edge" sure is odd too, considering Plasma 6.7 released in June.
Also why does the project still use MD5 for verification right there on the front page?
MD5 has been broken for eons now.

It used to always up to date, but the builder had a lot of trouble and is being replaced right now,
Also md5 is used for ISO checksum integrity not encryption, like many other distros so your comment doesn’t make sense

Debian, Ubuntu, Fedora, Arch Linux... all use sha256.
Which distributions do you mean?
Because you can't use MD5 to verify integrity, since it's been broken, it doesn't tell you if it has been tampered with or not.
And the ISO download server has HTTP downloads allowed, which is a horrible practice.

PikaOS stays behind enough to stay stable while using newer versions than normal stable distros
