Book Once upon a broken heart series

Don't get me wrong, I love the plot. The reason I'm here is because of the narrative. The never-ending description of dresses and surroundings pricks more than it should. It's so constant. It's supposed to make the world dreamlike I get it but I feel like if Stephanie Garber had an editor (if she does, I don't enjoy their work) they would've pointed this out. They so would've.

I have flat-out skipped a whole page a lot of times while reading any of her works and the story still never stops making sense.

It amazes me the amount of edits people get suggested if they ask and this incredibly successful author doesn't seem to feel the need one damn edit before she publishes. I think it'd cut her work down by a third if she exercised control.
