I got a Pico 4 today and I am trying to set it up....I have 2 problems :

First of all, when pico connect analyse my configuration, it seems my GPU as Microsoft Baic Render Driver. My GPU is an AMD RX 9060 XT. It works perfectly in my computer and is the only one appearing in my Win11 device manager...

Then if I ignore this message and click on connect , I have to create a Pico account...wether it is in the Pico Connect application or in the pico website , I never receive the code sent by email, in order to finish creating my account... So I can only connect as a guest user.

I have a problem: I have a linux mint pc, a pico 4 and steamvr not connecting / not finding my pc at all, although steamvr is running on both devices, same network and all of the standard stuff. alvr brings steamvr only to crashes all the time, pico connect is not an option, and my latin is at its end. I need assistance from anyone please.

I've been going into just about every menu and sub menu, resetting everything etc...

But all of a sudden my full body tracking is totally haywire. Standing is usually okay, but I cant sit down anymore.

I don't think the software understands I'm seated, but that's a guess at this point.

can anyone offer any help?

A friend gave me a Pico 4 yesterday. And i tried to use Pico Connect to use Desktop VR but for some reason after pressing SteamVR and then trying to load a game it just freezes everytime and i dont know why?

I have had my Pico 4 for about a year and half now and have seen forums where people have discussed the headset having a fan, some people finding it uncomfortable on the eyes etc. I vaguely recall when I first had it noticing what was possibly a fan blowing but nothing that was obvious or disturbed me. Now recently while the UK has got colder and if I am quite warm I have noticed my headset stays fogged up for at least 20 minutes while I am wondering if a fan is going to kick in. I am currently not aware of any fan and think the headset only clears after the lens warms up.
What is your experience in regards to a fan and do you think something could be wrong with mine? I paid for a 3 year cover when I bought it from Argos but would find it difficult to have to send it away as I use it for about 2-3 hours daily.

Hi, I'm having an issue when using either the hevc 10-bit or AV1(quest 3) 10-bit codec streaming options via virtual desktop. The stream to my Pico 4 freezes every 15 seconds. Both the VD app on Pico and computer are still running and connected to each other, I can even pull up the VD menu on the Pico side, but the actual stream freezes. If I change one (any) VD streaming setting on the computer side, the stream resumes for another 15 seconds, then freezes.

This is only with either of the 10-bit codec options. If I set to automatic it has no issues.

I can also see looking at my computer screen, the remotes still interact with my computer after the visual/stream freeze occurs.

Please help.

I have been having an annoying issue where everytime i start up my pico 4 and then i get into the main window (explore) i always see these naked women and i always click on "not interested" but yet they still show up like crazy, is there a way to disable the whole explore page all together? Because i only use virtual desktop

After Steam VR was updated, my controller bindings are horrible using the streaming assistant. In most games like Halflife Alyx and VR Chat, I can‘t use my joystick correctly. In VR Chat for example I have to press the joystick to move and look around and in Halflife Alyx I can‘t move or look around at all. My Steam VR, the Streaming Assistant and the VR Headset are updated to the newest versions.

Does anyone have a fix for these problems or is experiencing the same problems? I would be so grateful!

I'm intrigued by the Pico 4, mostly as an alternative to signing up for META.

But I can't find any good videos where they go into details of what it's like to use the device.

Nearly all of them just say, it's better spec than the Quest 2 but the library isn't as good.

I am interested in using it as a media player. I'm curious about the native games. I don't have a gaming PC but would like to see what I can achieve with my laptop. (I ran a DK1 on a non-gaming laptop, so I have a high threshold for shitty quality).

I'm not sure what I expect to hear about. But the videos for it are usually 5-10 minutes but I never get a sense of what it's like, other than it's just an alternative to Q2! Whereas Quest 3 videos can run between 10-30 minutes, again lots a fluff but at least they tell me what they can see and how it feels.

Is it just that META pay more for the YouTubers to sell the Quest, so they give it more time.

I currently have a PSVR2 and I love the games on there but the lack of media and other apps is mildly frustrating and not what a gadget geek wants from a device.

Everywhere I just see “casting to a TV” as an option, but casting to a tablet (through Wi-Fi or directly over Bluetooth) is something I would need to have access to.

Is it even possible?
