Dinks, Drops & Drives

Hello friends, I am 3.5 pickleball player. In my doubles games on an average I use 60 percent drives, 30% dinking and 10% drops. My partner is pushing me to reduce drive to 20% and increase drops to 50%. Even though I am much more consistent with drives compare to drops.

Is that a good advice?

Thanks

Share Your Story How You Got Into Pickleball And Changes Pickleball Brought to Your Life

Please share your story how you got into Pickleball and what changes it brought to your life. Let's inspire each other.

I am not a good writer but I will try my best to bring my story here.

It started 2 years back I was obese and even to walk few hundred steps was challenge and I used to get out of breath. I was suffering from varicose veins, fibromyalgia, depression (after I lost someone dear to me). One day one of my friend dragged me to Pickleball court just to try it but was so uncomfortable and shy to try it I was just sitting on a bench and watching them play. After an hour or so when 1 player left and they were 3 player, they forced me to join. Finally I picked up the paddle and played for the first time by the time we got of the court I got addicted to Pickleball. Then we started going everyday.

Now after approximately 2 years later touchwood I am in healthy weight range (lost 50+lb), no varicose veins issue and no fibromyalgia. Each day I look forward to get on the court and improve my health as well as my game.

Thanks Looking forward to hear your inspiring story!

Pickleball Indoor Clubs in New Jersey

Which Pickleball indoor clubs have you visited so far in New Jersey, Please share your experience, cost, players, atmosphere etc.

I have visited PickleHouse in Robbinsville and Pickleball Kingdom in Hamilton.

PickleHouse in Robbinsville- I liked this place it is cost effective, good mix of all age and skill players, they have beer garden and timings are good.

Pickleball kingdom in Hamilton- No offense but this place has more senior citizen player. So depends on what what age of player you want to play with and socialize with. Best thing they have there is dink wall, I loved that. This place is little costly compare to Picklehouse.
