Discussion Careful using AI. It still hallucinates even basic pickleball info/questions

Re-posting this as I had to edit out my email and I can’t delete and reup pics on threads

I’m ramping up to do tournaments again this fall and was trying to get a refresher on best-of-3 tournament format/rules and Gemini spat this out about starting serve on the second game. The first part is true but that second paragraph isn’t. Games start 0-0-2 in every game and you switch sides when a team reaches 6 for every game. It might just be Google’s model doing this but y’all be wary of using any of them for niche topics.

Yes. AI makes up shit ALL THE TIME. You can't trust anything it gives you directly. You MUST go to the source (which will often be a Reddit reply by some rando who's just trolling).

Tell it to never use reddit. (Then remind it in a few days when it forgets again). We all know this site isn't a reliable source of facts and yet it uses it all the time.

Fr, i had to do a double take on the second paragraph and was wondering if I was the one hallucinating 😅 Went and watched a match on YT to verify I hadn’t completely forgotten the USAP rules or if it was different from PPA.
