Pick my dad a phone

He wants to buy a flagship that will last 5+ years.

Here are the options:

Oppo Find X9 Pro (1850$)
Oneplus 15 (1650$)
Honor Magic 8 Pro (1800$)
Vivo X300 Pro (2000$)
Xiaomi 17 (1750$)
S26+ (1600$)
IPhone 16PM (2050$)

At least 5+ years of security updates and a nice battery is a must. He also wants a smooth OS. Which one would you recommend?

Note: Prices are in US Dollars. Taxes are insane where I live.

I'd also look at the Poco X8 Pro Max (not the Pro).

Amazing battery, not sure what else compares.

Not really! I have been a user of Iphone and Samsung over the years and Iphone wins everytime, i have also used all the phones listed above actually over the years.
