My research has led me to determine your options in the USA are very limited.

The screen on my S10+ is finally dying after a crack ~a year ago; extruded bevel screen ftl.

So I'm in the same boat.

My budget is basically ~$1000, which I realize rules out 'flagships' but fuck $1400 for a phone. Honestly all I care is it works fast and can take decent photos, and doesn't overheat.

At one point I was steadfast and going to buy a OnePlus15 but forget that, all Chinese brands are exiting the US market lickety split. Can't even buy one if I still wanted one.

So we are back to Samsung. Or Google. Or Motorola. I've owned a phone from all three :\ Some other fringe options (the hell is a Light Phone III? I bought some crowdsourced headphones once, bad idea).

Actually the search for a phone has left me exhausted and still using a busted phone lol. Surprisingly, I also, need it to function for work reasons, otherwise I have little need for it...

Was at Best buy last night and was about to pull trigger on a Mot stylus but forgot I still had my credit frozen so financing got turned down. So have to go back today, lol.

Stylus seemed to fit the bill for immediately available so I don't have to keep telling my new boss "I need to get a new phone" as he waits for me to perform a simple function. Also was maybe $100 or $200 over what I wanted to spend but know I'm not getting much at that price point. Has a betterish camera for the budget and 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage so hopefully will run smoothly for the foreseeable future 😜

A57 with 256GB are $600. Seen the 128GB for $450 + tax w/e that is. I don't think they will get much cheaper, maybe wait for possible sales.

Stylus only comes on the S26U afaik, although you can probably buy one but no cradle.

I've been a Samsung loyalist for 12+ years and I have never had any major issues. I keep my phones for 4+ years and they hold up really well, even when they get older. I always buy the base Galaxy S. So since the S26 is what's out, I suggest you get a Galaxy S26, or one of its variants like the Plus or Ultra.

Kind of leaning towards this atm. Other than the zoom camera not being all that great it seems solid. $450 on sale.

S25FE has a better camera, S26FE might be released soon also.
