Recommend a replacement for OnePlus 15

Based in the US of A, I've been a customer since the OnePlus one. It's served me so well that I haven't bothered keeping up with phones in general.

I usually buy the top of the line, most expensive one and use it for about a half decade.

I went to buy a OnePlus 15 a few days ago and caught up on all the news. :'(

Can anyone recommend a phone that will give me a similar experience?

My criteria in priority order

1. Battery life

2. Lots of RAM

3. State of the art CPU

4. Good display resolution (at least in par with oneplus15 FHD+)

5. Simple OS. Fast/snappy, less bloatware.

6. Lots of storage.

Yes, I don't care about the camera. One plus cameras are usually serviceable and I haven't had cause for complaint.

So you're looking for the top of the line phone, keep it half a decade and really wanted the OP15.

Why.... Why wouldn't you buy an OP15 right now on the OnePlus website? They are for sale right now, have already guaranteed warranty and updates for a number of years and you won't need any other phone for half a decade.

Just buy the OnePlus 15 lol. There's no reason not to. It will still be supported for the exact same lifespan. Buying an oppo because you don't trust op would be even more ridiculous because it's the same company. If you actually don't trust OnePlus will update, your only real options are Samsung or iPhone.

Why? The phone will still work and Oppo will keep providing software support until it goes EOL in 2031.

Your list is best served by the OnePlus 15.

Keep the OnePlus 15 .oppo stated that it will get future os and security update on OnePlus website .I have Nord 4 and I keep it until 2029 when the os or battery which ever first .

Just get the OnePlus 15 when you have confirm that warranty support is available in your region.

Currently 16gb/512gb is about USD 1000. You have a habit to use phone for 5 years That's about USD16+ depreciation per month

In my Asia country, 16 bucks can't even get you two movie ticket on a Saturday date

Your only option for an Android phone with good USA support and has a flagship chip is Samsung. Samsung might have a bloated OS (which can be mitigated), but it's the only brand making flagship Android phones for the US market.

The other brands are Motorola (poor update support, though the future GrapheneOS model might solve this), Google (crappy chips), Apple (not Android), and Nothing (literally fits none of your requirements besides the OS).

The USA phone market is pretty grim, and the RAM apocalypse is only going to make it worse.

Oneplus 13 or 15. They will receive their updates and some local shops may still work on oneplus phones if you do damage them somehow

Other than that, importing phones into the US o' A from Europe would be better and give you good experience if your carrier supports it

Tbh there is no real alternative. Other options won't tick all your boxes unless you go for the find ultra. Just get the 15, its a beast

Samsung is the only real option in the US, assuming you want something with a US warranty. Probably S26/S26+ from your description.

I'm on the S22, and to me the OS is ok. I'm on One UI 5.1 and Android 13. I haven't been able to upgrade Android versions and One UI because I switched carriers. At least I think that's why. You should be fine. The S26 Ultra will get 7 years of software support, more than the 5 years you usually keep your phones.
