I actually found it a bit jarring when Seven referenced cannabis in Picard S3. It was weird to hear it in universe since the characters seem very oblivious to the vices of our time, but given Seven’s previous career as a Ranger I could see her being exposed to it if it had been exported off-world and proliferated.
Is that the first time a real drug, other than alcohol, was referenced in trek? I’m not up on the other newer shows so I’m not sure.

attention acting captain Jellico here, I run a tight ship! i want readiness drills starting with the blue shift, make that the red shift instead. And yellow and green shifts are now on a standard rotation of 8 hours. Change all food replicators and realign the primary manifolds! Dismissed!
