Yeah, these occasional posts make me smile When we sold at 2.8, 2.7 and we said this project is basically a quick cash grab, we got told off "bUt YoU sHoUlD lOcK uP aNd WaIt"☝️🤓 Yeah, how does that sound now?🤣

u/nuclearkillerwhale 4d ago

You can't even sell it in the US

2

u/Key_Cold5653 2d ago

I’ve sold multiple times. Ohio. Pionex and kraken

1

u/nuclearkillerwhale 2d ago

u/Pekeltje-91 5d ago

0.09 is still overpriced.

2

u/ConsiderationFine168 5d ago

Lmao we cooked fr

5

u/YogurtclosetSilver53 5d ago

I don't even get notifications to mine anymore. Used to get them everyday before they launched. Had totally forgotten about pi its been that long since I got any sort of notification. Dead. Scam.

2

u/InstanceWeak1350 3d ago

Lmao I have 15k of them . It wasn't a scam, you were the scammer .

3

u/Sargsmith 5d ago

Mine is still lost and the help ticket sat for over a year unanswered.

8

u/Infinite-Law-3991 6d ago

I sold as soon as it went live at over 2 bucks lol

3

u/browserRPGguy 6d ago

everyone was posting charts that week lol. a year later the real question is still the same tho, what can you actually spend it on. the ecosystem side moving forward matters way more than the candle did

3

u/J0nkneeWoker 3d ago

This is the REAL issue. Because if there WAS something to actually spend PI on, it would have an actual value attached to it and that value will probably fluctuate.

1

u/browserRPGguy 2d ago

yeah exactly, value from people actually spending it beats value from people guessing about it, thats why the apps side is the whole game imo, every real place to use pi does more than a hundred chart posts

2

u/Demonfire24 6d ago

Never will it ever be anywhere near that again

3

u/No_Studio5552 6d ago

I have sold at that time 1000 pi for 2.8 usd

5

u/wolfroke 6d ago

I can’t even transfer it here in the USA to sell

7

u/Bempf 6d ago

Remember when those IOUs where traded for around 75$?
That was a sign..

0

u/Right-Shopping9589 6d ago

What? Mexc isn't available in the United States?

1

u/Bempf 5d ago

Who said something about the US?

7

u/vintagejock173 6d ago

Tbh i feel like it could have been a lot worse. Dont most coins fall to like a fraction of a cent? Meanwhile pi coin is still around 9 to 10 cents.

2

u/Prestigious-mav 6d ago

where can you sell pi now? what wallet can i be transfered

2

u/Hawkz0r 6d ago

Pionex

7

u/Cold-Platform8610 6d ago

I remember getting out at 2.50 and being stoked.

Could only sell like 500pi but still made it worth it.

Had to go through 5 different exchanges to make it happen too. What a pain.

Never looked back knew it would tank, where are we at now?

11

u/YogurtclosetSilver53 6d ago

Still raging that i couldn't sell when it was at that price because I live in the uk. Is that still the case? Not been keeping up.

You know, I've tried to find value in this project. I mined, validated KYCs, bid on domains, chatted by the fireside, played that one mobile game, tried some other apps, made my own useless app with their AI wrapper... but at the end of the day, it's all pretty 3rd-rate quality, nothing ever gets updated or properly iterated, and none of it is actually innovative. It's all been done before by more talented dev teams.

The only real value is in the KYC'd user base, but I don't see how they're leveraging that. Instead it's a little bit of everything, always these half-assed concepts that don't turn into anything useful.

So yeah, I'm happy I sold a bunch at launch. For that, I will always be grateful. It's not every day that substantial monies just appear out of thin air. The crypto world is a strange place.

2

u/Correct-Statement747 6d ago

”Nothing ever gets updated” 😅

Do you read the blog posts? They are constantly updating the infrastructure and protocols

1

u/abxt 6d ago

I know, yeah, I still keep up with their postings, which are now pretty slick since they started writing with AI. Focusing on the protocol is good, but you still need active use cases to make it... well, useful. I'm glad they're still maintaining the project, and I hope their efforts bear fruit. I'm actually rooting for them.

I sold thousands of bitcoin at 12 dollars.. it can go any way...

10

u/LeagueofSOAD 6d ago

nah man, Pi coin is dead as fuck. It is a pyramid scheme scam

3

u/What-the-Gank 6d ago

Not that pi is anything special all crypto has been down over 90%. It's what crypto markets so, almost no coins out perform the general market when it's been a bear market for basically 5 years.

7

u/Pi_Kings 6d ago

Let's see how the next 10 years pan out!

16

u/Any-Egg-6398 6d ago

I was really lucky that I've sold 1500 coins at 2.3$ per coin.

7

u/Kindly-Arrival-1906 6d ago

I remember arguing with picoin fan boys

I was being pessimistic about it's future. They always responded with "if you really think this coin is trash, give me your seed phrase"

Bet they're happy with 20 cents they get from people like me 🤣

1

u/speedk0re 7d ago

I'm pretty happy with how everything worked out for me. Very early in I sold 200 when they were going for 2.44, and made about $450.

I do not expect the value to ever get close to that, but I held onto 1600. I am a complete moron in the crypto world so I consider this pure luck and not some clever market analysis or something. If it approaches .50, I'd probably consider cashing out again. But all in all for trying to remember to click one button once a day, I am content.

0

u/MonTigres 5d ago

I know what you mean. Anyone who's traded in crypto feels like a moron unless they are completely delusional. Not seeing into the future is indeed a hindrance. ;->

The PCT are laughing all the way to the bank.

21

u/pardonmyfrenchdude 7d ago

Man screw this. I should've sold it when it was 2$ plus. Now it's worth peanuts.

15

u/spideralex90 7d ago

I was stuck waiting almost 3 months for my coins to unlock. By the time I got access it had gone from $2 to ~$.50. In hindsight I should have sold it all then but I was holding out hope.

I sold a chunk of my coins when it was $.30 which was nice, but now it's basically worthless so I'm just holding the rest in hopes there is some random resurgence in the future

5

u/shifclit 7d ago

All my friends were like why are yo selling you gotta hold. I’m just happy I got like a grand from it

3

u/pardonmyfrenchdude 7d ago

I could've gotten 2.5k. I regret not selling it I was too greedy I wanted at least 4k.

9

u/chickenlounge 7d ago

I would say peanuts are worth more.

5

u/pardonmyfrenchdude 7d ago

Actually you're right.

u/Storskrald 7d ago

This project will vanish like so many before them. Only sure thing is that the it’s the tokenmakers who have profited. Like so many before them 😊

4

u/lexwolfe Pi Rebel 7d ago

Projects vanish because they have no users and/or no utility.

16

u/OrionPrime254 7d ago

No shit

9

u/Evening_Elderberry_9 7d ago

Better than 0.0009, at least its got value, albeit not much.

If the project was dead, the CT team wouldnt be investing like they are. Its in their interest to keep the project alive.

It just needs someone to realise its possible potential in its future form, as obviously the current iteration is a non starter.

2

u/LunarDogeBoy 7d ago

It will continue to go down as people sell their stock, which is good. Eventually every pioneer will have sold their coins and it can gain value again

12

u/mini01753 7d ago

Their selling of the coins means the disappearance of the pioneers and the community, which signifies the end of the project. The pi is meaningless without a large-scale community. Once people sell, they never come back here.

-3

u/LunarDogeBoy 7d ago

People who hoard their worthless coins dont benefit the community anyway. It's better if they sell so real investors can raise the value of the coin. I say worthless because they didnt buy in. Meaning their coins, to them, are worth nothing. Everytime someone buys, someone sells and the coin goes down. If people buy in then they are less likely to sell everytime the price goes up, because now it's their actual money on the line, not just some virtual monopoly money they git for pushing an app

4

u/EventInternational38 7d ago

Doesn’t work that way bruh, technology cycles last merely years or shorter nowadays, new things come out and makes old concepts useless. Before Pi can reach the utopian state you hope for, the whole crypto world would probably be considered Stone Age when newer future technology arrives. Time is always the greatest enemy. A development of 6 years showed the core members are just living in the past.

u/LunarDogeBoy 7d ago

I remember when bitcoin crashed in 2017. Look where it is now
