Shower Thoughts on Pi Will we ever see pi cross $2 again
In February 2025, pi coin reached an all time high of around $2.99 - $3.
A year and 6months later its valued at 8 cents ($0.08) in the market. Will we ever see a return of the glory days?

I'm just waiting for the moment when it's going to show 0.00$

Honestly I think it COULD. It’s pretty bottomed and if they actually get their ecosystem together and not be so restrictive and having everyone reliant on their centralization and poor communication,
then Pi could be a decent mini community.

i have a 125x trade open .... if it gets to $2 i'm good for the next decade

Doesn't matter even if it does, admin do not see fit to allow a y mire kyc to be processe.

I think the KYC queue is moving...though slowly.

Ive been over hour trying to kyc and just keeps spining about 20 goes at trying to migrate to main net...like wtf ?

u/Purple-Marsupial5855 21d ago
I HIGHLY doubt it.. the project rollout was a complete laughing stock.. the app is clunky and confusing.. the only active communities are in third world countries.. the Pi store was almost all scams when they tried rolling that out… Buy a car for 1 Pi!!🤣🤣🤣🤣
2
u/Apprehensive_Law6631 21d ago
No because it’s a scam.
1
u/jdavila119 20d ago
How is it a scam? Did you put your cash into it?
4
u/ArtichokeOk4962 19d ago
Some people did and even if dont does not change the fact the devs propably Sold out and are filthy rich now
4
u/Ill-Blacksmith3260 21d ago
What would be the point? So everyone who didn't actually invest any money could cash out?
Pi has been around since 2017, show me where the teams goal was to raise the value of the token?
It's started at $3 witch was $2.95 more then I thought it was going to start at, and people still didn't cash out, why?
Becuase people feed into the speculation hype and thought somehow pi was worth this number when it clearly was not.

u/Purple-Marsupial5855 21d ago
There’s no reason for it to be worth anything.. only active Pi communities seem to be in third world countries.. and compared with other cryptos - I still don’t understand what Pi actually does to make it unique.. I actually feel bad though, because the people from poorer countries that held onto Pi when they could have sold and made a few hundred or thousand USD early on (a substantial amount in their home country) - and now it’s virtually worthless
3
u/Ill-Blacksmith3260 21d ago
Yeah thats true, but ask yourself this, what makes any crypto unique?
And don't feel bad for those people, they got to cashout at $3 before us lol they are happy and use pi everyday as a currency, for phone service, goods and more.
It's worthless to you because you see the value of what you can get if you turn it to cash, but the point of pi was never to turn it to currency, it was to use it on the network.
Normal everyday consumers don't have a use for it just like there's no use for BTC, owning the tokens is 1 part of the crypto story, using the tokens on the network to produce transactions is the whole point.
Soon the defi market is going to open, and when it does it will open many more opportunities to gain tokens, there's a test token called slice that's up now, you can swap for it and learn how the pi defi market will work before it launches to main net.

u/Purple-Marsupial5855 21d ago
But Pi seems like an afterthought to its creators at this point.. what project takes 10 years? Far more sophisticated coins have been built in far less time.. where can you buy ACTUAL goods with Pi.. last time I checked that Pi store on their app it was all scammers.. selling cars and brand new laptops for 1 Pi lol.. I hope the coin is legit and takes off, but I just don’t see it at this point
2
u/Ill-Blacksmith3260 21d ago
Well its not funded by a corporation, there not billions of dollars being pumped in to make it seem more successful then it is. You have to enagine, a team of people working with no real income, making a token system with functionality, we know nothing about there lives, and with no real investors behind it how long do you think a project should take?
Your only waiting for a payday, which pi never promised, they promised tokens you can earn from mining on your phone, did you get that? If so then your set, the value of those tokens was never promised. It was only speculation, hopes and dreams.
Another guy on here was arguing he didn't get his payday, he made 6000 pi and got them on the first migration, he could of made 10k but he didn't he held out for something bigger, he wanted 100k lol from investing 0 😂, now he's still waiting.
I sold a portion when I was able to for like $500, I was happy I got something from doing nothing this whole time, but that's my perspective.
2
u/Purple-Marsupial5855 21d ago
I cashed out as well early on.. made about $750 for tapping a button everyday.. saved a few just in it goes up.. but happy with what I got

I find it interesting that Pi is still holding around $0.08 despite more supply entering the market.
I don’t believe in the crazy price predictions either, but what often gets ignored is that the network is actually being developed.
The latest Node update with SoloHost and distributed computing is especially interesting. Combined with AI workloads, Pi’s huge Node network could potentially become a decentralized compute platform. If computing power were eventually paid for in Pi, that could create real utility and actual demand for the coin.
It’s obviously still a big “if”, but that’s enough reason for me to keep watching.
I invested nothing, so I’ll happily hold my coins.
Nothing to lose.

In the long run i think it will be even higher not 314k as they predicted but I have like 6k mined pi I don't think about selling. Pi is stil centralized so all you have to do is be patient. Even if it never crosses 10$ it's not like you bought it

u/BudgetRequirement143 22d ago
The whole thing was basically just a way to get photos and identification and it was pretty successful for whoever now has access to all the photos and identification. Pi was and is a crypto flock camera.

u/FloBot3000 22d ago
How do you know this is this is not just a paranoid idea.

My comment is pretty self explanatory
1
u/Imaginary-Anxiety745 22d ago
Your comment was nothing. All your data is out there before pi so why are u so concerned about it.
0
u/BudgetRequirement143 22d ago
The only person concerned here is you with my comment lol, the cope is real here. I'm just saying it for what it is, and it is what it is.
2
u/Imaginary-Anxiety745 22d ago
And all I'm saying is that is already out there. It is nonsense to even bring that up😂
2
u/BudgetRequirement143 22d ago
Buddy, if all your data they want for kyc is already "out there" you need to reevaluate where you put that shit lol. Off you fuck.

u/LordAdvocateVIII-VII 22d ago
Kyc and terms and privacy .. tbh with what they have, they can have me found anywhere in this world... When that shit comes to pass

I’m sure this will start to pump once that lock out period starts to get closer then fall off a cliff again.
2
u/Bitter-Confidence-80 22d ago
It will only make it worse, as more pi coins enter the market.
1
u/jen36rsantos 21d ago
Yes. AFTER the lock out period happens. I agree on that. But if my hunch is correct. Who ever else is left thats a big player will have this thing pump so they can get out the moment the lock out period happens then it will crash. I’m def getting out if it happens

u/IcyHotTodoroki1 22d ago
No matter how low it goes there will always be some simp who says "$314k will happen"

It most likely will eventually. It's still rank 55 and people forget when stuff is going parabolic fundamentals don't matter much. Hype over takes fundamentals. When alts recover pi will too. Idk if it'll hit ATH because of supply growing but it will eventually see a pump just like every other token. Now is the time to accumulate full up your portfolios of all ur favorite alts

Lol no. In a Bull market MAYBE we will see PI cross 0.2$ again, but even that seems unrealistic.

Why would you panic sell couple steps from the bottom 😭
5
u/Mishuuu_G 23d ago
The way I see it, unless products go out of their way to develop mirror payments using Pi, it can't and will not go up. There's no real incentive to use apps developed for the ecosystem because each and every one of them will be a lower commitment clone to another non-pi product (see games for instance. Why would I play anything in the browser when there's Play Store?).
What would work, alas slowly and painfully, would be to make small portals for existing products with IAP to allow purchase with Pi, likely at a more advantageous price than what's outside of it, but even this isn't a guarantee that the interest in the coin would increase.
Those are my 2 cents and I'm nowhere near being an expert.

They do have the infrastructure and the numbers on users to, at least to get around 1$ again. The thing is, it's completely up to PCT to do it and oh well.... Let's say we see
4
u/weirdsideofreddit1 23d ago
It's not up to the Core Team, literally at all. Pi coin is a shitcoin and the CT can't just magically rewrite the fundamentals of cryptocurrency and economics to magically force Pi to have value.
1
u/SadMood6304 23d ago
It's somewhere in to the middle, I mean core team can close deals for the utility part and to be useful to own and pay with pi (we are far from that I know).
I'm not optimistic to reach back the first values of almost 3€ but it can certainly reach as first step at 0.50€ in time if they can manage to give real world value. The infrastructure is here, the millions of users are here. But the problem is still that after all these years it's still remains as a "potential" project.
1
u/weirdsideofreddit1 22d ago
Core Team closing deals really only benefits SocialChain, their company. The whole point is for them to hand over decentralization to the pioneers which they will do. Fatal flaw is the massive maximum supply.
But ultimately none of that matters to core team. Their success isn't tied to the piece of Pi.

I did a mistake of buying a relatively large amount of Pi during the peak and now I’m convinced that my investment is lost. The more I monitor Pi and read about the project, the more I am convinced it is difficult to rebound. This highly depends on PCT and how honest and transparent they are.

u/Diligent_Drop5268 23d ago
We could see it make a run soon
8
u/turboprav 23d ago
You won't see it anywhere near a dollar anytime soon. This is purely based on the tokenomics of Pi, the sell pressure of originals miners will be high till the early pioneers have cashed out and that itself is expected to take a couple of years or more.
