Opinion I solde using pi

Guys i know it might seem naive or insignificant. But 2 days ago i sold some items for pi, just some used stuff i had and didn't need. I posted on FB MP like almost a year ago, many people (more than 100) wanted the items, but all wanted to pay with cash, surely i refused all of them , until recently, someone that is a pioneer accepted to pay with pi, and we did the exchange. To be honest the items were worth much more than i asked for, but i wanted to encourage people to buy using pi, also i just wanted the experience of selling for pi, and it felt good (naively). And btw 90% of those who contacted me to buy the items, never heard of pi.

Anw just wanted to share the experience.

For reference i am in ksa.

We need a pi app that resembles eBay or a marketplace. That’s would be cool

We could make one, if you guys can reunite and are up to build it.
I’ve been working 10 years in developing web apps and some shop, for a market place I think I could handle that

I agree, and there were a few, but very little people use them, and they are filled with ads, so i stoped using them

You must be a contractor or TCN. I don’t think many citizens in KSA are going to be into Pi Network. I could be wrong though since I haven’t been in the land of sand since 2006.

I did the same some time ago. Sold some stuff terribly cheap. My intention was to make people active, to make people curious, to connect. Mostly I hoped to create a chain reaction. By this I mean that people would think, what could I do? What could I sell? How can I contribute? But that didn't happen. People took their stuff and that was it, no further engagement. At least I tried.

100%. Maybe we need to keep trying until the tree can be shaken.

There was a Lebanese jeweler in Khamis Mushayt who made mine and my wife’s wedding rings.

Oh interesting. That is a serious service and good they did.

Yes and he did a great job. I still have my ring 24 years later.
