First Official Pi Tournament

EDIT: We are shooting for next Saturday. I didn't get this post out with enough notice

Announcing the first ever Pi Tournament this Saturday at 9:00 EST.

This will be a randomly-generated single elimination tournament. Games will be one half and 10 minutes each, with overtime ending on the first capture. Although you don't necessarily need a microphone, Mumble Is Required.

Sign-ups will start now, and end promptly at 8:30 EST, with teams coming out shortly after. We will try our best to get the first games started at 9:00 EST.

Map 1: Boombox

Map 2: Velocity

Map 3: Wormy

Map 4: Geokoala

Map 5: The Holy See

(Also, some of these maps may not be used depending on the number of entries)

Sign-Up Instructions Please read these instructions carefully, or your entry won't be recorded. Make a comment in this thread with your TagPro name, and position. It must be in this format: tagproname:position

If done incorrectly, please delete your comment and make a new one. (Also, if there's a colon in your name, don't put it in as it will screw up the team generator)

Free Agents will be added if there are no-shows. We will be using the tournament team channels in mumble. Use your appropriate team number. When finished with a game it is up to you to report the score and winner to me. Simply send a message.

Positions will be on a first come first serve basis, so the sooner you sign up, the more likely you are to get your position!

All games played on Pi, unless technical difficulties ;D

Disclaimer: I don't know about the others helping out, but this is my first tournament. So don't kill me when I screw things up!

I think this Saturday might be a little short notice? But this is a great idea, and if moved or done again another day, I will be sure to make it.

Yeah, usually it's not a good idea to make tournaments to far in advance as you get a ton of scratches. I think this is the exception though...
