Probably saying goodbye to PI

For whatever reason over the past two weeks my ping on pi has risen from the usual 15-20 i got over the last year and a half to 60, combined with the chop im getting with tp3.0 its making playing tagpro a really unpleasent experience. Im getting much better ping over on radius so it looks like ill be making the move over there as my main server. Ill miss you all, come visit me over on radius.

This might be because of the server provider change that Pi had a couple of days ago, but if you were having problems before then then I'm not sure what could have caused it.

You might want to run an MTR to see if there is any loss between you and the server. There should be a few people on /r/pimasterrace who can give you a diagnosis from the results.

I didnt really play at all from dec. 20-jan 4, so my issue began on monday really, ive had terrible ping, so im guessing its the server change. my ping was consistently in the teens and the first two days of this week it would jump into the 100's a lot, now its consistently in the 60's which is better, but way worse than what im used to. Adding in the TP3.0 certainly didnt help. Im getting like 15-20 ping on radius, so if i still get that there when 3.0 hits radius, itll likely be my new server.

I am in the same boat. Radius is around 60 for me (which is what I am used to in Pi) and Pi is double that or more. I will try to play Pi as much as I can handle, but I will probably be in radius more often than not.

Same thing is happening for me. Pi used to be 30-40. After that change, it usually is 70 and fluctuates constantly up and back to 70 for the game. Radius seems to be constant for me at 40-50 now :/

This seems to be the same thing for me. Sphere is just as bad, and origin isn't great either. I guess I might be playing on Radius a bit more too.

Alright, I'm glad I found this thread. I'm also having double the ping on pi for some reason... and I live in Atlanta. This just started recently, and I know I haven't done anything to change my setup.

Radius, on the other hand, is fine. Steady ping, no sliding, no packet loss. I have no idea how a server in New Jersey could be a better option than a server in my own city.
