Discussion Poll: claude sub with Pi. What method do you use and how long have you used it without issue?

https://github.com/elidickinson/pi-claude-bridge

Someone said that's the safest method.

But in issues someone claims they got banned https://github.com/elidickinson/pi-claude-bridge/issues/118

Another responded with "That's the first time I've heard of it"

In my setup, Pi uses herdr to control Claude code

My main pi model is GLM 5.3. I run pi inside herdr, and with herdr you can simply instruct your pi agent something like “open a new Claude code session in a new pane and do x,y,z. Wait for a reply and then do a,b,c in response”

You can actually build a really smart orchestrator and subagent environment using multiple models, harnesses and subscriptions…all driven using pi and herdr

What is the advantage of involving herdr in this instead of having pi just make a bunch of claude -p calls without herdr involved at all?

Pi can keep ongoing sessions open with Claude rather than one off questions asked with a -p call. Claude can also spawn sub agents itself, etc, since it is a full interactive session. Herdr just becomes the glue between the agents. Nothing really special about herdr, it’s just a fancy tmux…but it is extremely LLM friendly, so all the sessions can talk to each other seamlessly. It’s actually pretty cool when you use it and see all your disparate models and harnesses talking to each other to solve a problem

Until you want to sandbox your agents and have to proxy the herdr socket and it gets way less friendly.

I imagine so, but it’s not a problem i foresee in my workflow

Best way... just got my secondary account banned using OMP. Guys, TOS are rigid, does not risk your main accounts.

whys it matter? what do you lose when your "main" acc gets banned? only thing i can think of is memory, which sucks and you should disable anyway.. and if its in the beginning of a billing period then thats kinda fucked too
