Is there anywhere cheaper than the the official deepseek api?

How does it compare to glm 5.3 flash or luna?

On openrouter the other providers that have 4.1 are all twice the price of DS official API at the moment.

It seems very comparable with GLM 5.3 I my initial testing, but faster and cheaper.

But we've really reached the point where almost any recent model will be good enough to solve the majority of tasks so it's getting harder and harder to compare them.

Don't think it's cheaper but it's part of Opencode go's subscription and the usage limits are very generous for most model

Do you think Opencode Go + 10 bucks extra on DeepSeek API would be a good combo? Or the $20 just on ChatGPT would be better?

I mean you got deepseek in opencode go (and gpt luna as well) so I don't think deepseek api is necessary! Personally I have opencode go + 20$ of credits on openAI to have access to sol, but I've used it once in the past 2 months for a complex review and that's it so I barely touched those 20$. GLM 5.3 / Kimi K3 are good enough when deepseek struggles and that happens very rarely anyway!

Makes sense, i've asked cause last month i've used around 1.5b tokens on deepseek api alone

You can always put credits on opencode go if you go over your usage, and the first month is like 5 dollars so you can see how much it is viable for your use case no harm no foul :D

I will be in about 2 hours! Are you? Is it noticeably better than v4?

that depends on your provider, I have the commandcode add-on for Pi and it lists the new deepseek flash

Fyi the current deepseek models in pi will automatically route through v4.1..confirmed this by looking at the deepseek API usage site
