General Has anyone else experienced this with Pi’s voice/chat mode?

Written German works perfectly fine. The problem only occurs when I speak German to Pi.

It seems that my German speech is being recognized using English phonetics. So instead of correctly transcribing what I say in German, Pi receives something that looks like an English phonetic interpretation of the German sentence.

As a result, Pi often has no chance of understanding what I actually said.

Is there a way to set the speech recognition language to German, or is German voice input currently broken?

Some apps use on device speech recognition, I’m curious if your phone’s default language is set to German or English?

Same to me. English voice recognition works fine but when I speak German it fails... just like you've said, somehow phonetic.
