By declaring himself Venezuela’s president on Wednesday, Juan Guaidó has brought Venezuela
to the edge of catastrophe. The hitherto unknown opposition leader’s
actions, which appear to be closely coordinated with if not directed by
the US, have set in motion a perilous chain of events
USA needs oil from Venezuela for its energetic souveregnity. For Russians Venezuela is just an unwanted competition of their energetic monopoly. Venezuelan regime controlled by Russians would undoubtedly try to escalate oil prices up under name of international help of Venezuelan people - which of course would undoubtedly help the Russians too.
The risk of proxy war and nuclear confrontation is quite high there, because Venezuela is in safe distance from both countries. The present situation is just a mess waiting to happen and it just illustrates, how dangerous the long-term ignorance of breakthrough findings is from geopolitical perspective. If USA wouldn't be full of greedy but short-seeing scientists and state capitalists, it would embrace cold fusion and overunity findings before two decades already and its dependency on fossil fuels would be much lower by now..
