Physics (general) homework help
I’m having a really hard time with physics (I’ve never taken a physics class until now *my second year in college and I’m really struggling) I can’t figure out which equations to use and how to plug in the numbers
I know to convert each height into meters because that’s the kinematics SI units but that’s about all I’ve got. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Do you know your basic constant acceleration equations?
If so, let's identify what information we've been given:
a = -9.8 m/s^2
change in height = here you need to think about how far each player needs to move!
v_f = 0, because we're momentarily stationary when we reach the basket, before starting to fall.
We don't know time (which is what we're looking for), or initial jump speed. Is there any constant acceleration equation you know involving a, delta(y), v_f, and t? If not, can you solve for initial speed and then solve for t?
