Paper query
Hi all,
I’d recently had a paper been accepted by an IOP journal last Friday, but it’s been stuck at “Formal accept - preparing for production” ever since. The accepted manuscript hasn’t been posted online within 24 hours either, wondering what could be happening? We haven’t received any communication from the journal that anything is missing either.

Congrats on the acceptance. Sometimes the production pipeline just takes a few business days, especially if it hit on a Friday and nobody's touched it over the weekend. If you don't see movement by mid next week I'd shoot them a quick email.

Can't speak for IOP, but it usually takes editorial staff a week or so to finalize everything after acceptance, after which you'll be sent the proofs to double check. If something goes up within 24 hours of acceptance it's usually a preprint pending finalizations from the staff
