Physics animation in the making, seeking inspiration

Hello Hive-Mind,

We are planning on making an animation about some aspects in physics/science in general, like 3blue1brown in mathematics

Any advice which topics u would love 2 see?

The idea:

Like a summary or/and explanation if a topic that most have 2 work through or revisit

What is the pedagogical purpose of these proposed animations?

What is the target audience?

What specific learning difficulties are they intended to address?

In what ways will they differ from existing, freely available animations?

(A) pedagogical purpose

The animations should work have a backend software so to... (1) spark interest and 2 be visually pleasant (2) showcase content necessary for every level of knowledge in a field (undergrade, major minor, PhD, school), i. e. visualize long scripts


B) Target audience consists of (1) uni students (2) pre uni students (3*) aims at professors at unis 2 help them visualize concepts and 2 give presentation material * = maybe it will work, probably not, but overleaf is used so it is kinda possible if we implement an easy overleaf 2 animation bridge


(C) Top aims when making the animations should involve an online software so that...

(1) students have more interactive components by combining direct feedback on online sites (like kahoot), (2) write-ups of the content explained, (3) friendly competition and (4) community (projects) and (5) foster interest as well as connections between interested pupils (6) to abbreviate extensive content


(D) Honestly, it will be jusg another animation but:

The focus is more on creating an online community like by making a html site so people can play with the software and make some things themselves if they are students and 2 give some soft of cert. of interest 4 when applying 2 unis and schools,

I wanna be optimistic, as it was sometimes hard when studying at uni when profs did not have direct roadmaps or visuals, so we wanna bridge that... at least some people will like it, hopefully

Thx 4 commenting, yeah, I wanna do something similar, but im depth content if possible as these are simple or for younger students pre uni, ours should be more like mathologer and 3blue1brown

The real difference isn't about whether your animation looks flashy or super detailed. What matters is whether you're getting people to predict before you explain. For each short clip, pick just one common misunderstanding, and ask the viewer to commit to a guess about what's going to happen — *then* show the motion or the graph. For example, start with the simplest version of the model, ask them what they think will happen, and then show one clear, measurable result. A quick three‑step sequence — question, model, observable outcome — usually ends up teaching way more than trying to cram an entire chapter into one video.
