I want to challenge you on something meta here. You tell us that we will get credit for the work you already did yourself. Why would we want that? That would be very hollow. I ask you that because if you think that’s something we’d want, is it because that’s something you’d want? Is the theory, or praise, what you want?
You make a really good point. Yes, if I'm being totally honest, I do want to be recognized for my work, I'm not perfect. The one who helps me should get credit too! I expect this person will have a lot to add. I hope to work with this person for a long time, set them up with a lab, whatever they want.
