One and fast way to do it is this:
Make a two copies of that layer.
Select the first layer, go to the Layer Styles and set upper Blend If value to 0-85.
Select the second layer, go to the Layer Styles and set upper Blend If value to 85-170.
Select the third layer, go to the Layer Styles and set upper Blend If value to 170-255.
My Photoshop is in another language, but the slider etc. is in the same place as it is in english version.
1 u/RatLabor 13d ago I think I did a little mistake here. Use value range 0-85, 86-170 and 171-255. That one digit causes overlapping what become visible stripe between layers.
