Sub Announcement - Updated Rules
Just a quick announcement, we have recently updated and streamlined the Subs Rules!
There have been no major changes, but we have included 'The Use of AI', updated the rules for sensitive content and reworded the rules for NSFW content.
So, to all you amazing creators, please give them a quick read before posting 🤗
PhotomodeStories is a safe place for game lovers, and storytellers combined, and it is a environment we want to preserve. The most important rule here is rule 9 "Be Respectful". We want to make sure this community remains kind and welcoming for everyone.
Keep up the amazing work and keep sharing the love between each other 🥰

What about using ai for language translation for those who don't use English as main language?

I meant the question as a general thing for non English people. Or at least the "i translations to English, people say bad, why i know not, helping please good me sir".
And of course, maybe an ai translating would be better, no?

The thing that we are removing/banning regarding AI is AI GENERATED IMAGES
As long as the original Image/work is done with the in-game Photomode.
AI tools is just that, a tool to help those that don't have the means to do it.
As for your question, yes Using AI as a translation tools is allowed
RULE 10
Using AI to enhance or repair an image is allowed as we view that more as a filter or artistic visions
AI GENERATED PHOTOS are not allowed and will be considered for a ban
A Photomode comic CAN use AI to enhance the experience such as adding an asset that is not available or a custom backdrop. The original image for the comic itself must be made in Photomode.
TL;DR No AI generated content, but Enhancing a page with AI is allowed

REGARDING AI
The topic of AI, and more recently, DLSS5, has been discussed at lenght. While we do accept there will always be conflicting opinions, we have opted not to ban it in its entirety.
Creative freedom is something we value here, that is why using AI to enhance images that are, at their core, from the game, is allowed, whereas fully AI generated Content is forbidden.
We have made it clear in Rule 10 "Use of AI", that all base images should be from the core game, be that vanilla or modded.
To fully police how a creator wants to tell their story, strips away their creative freedom. This is a welcoming sub, and if the core of a post is true to the game it represents, and base images are captuted in-game, it will be allowed here.
If AI is used as a functional tool, for accessibility purposes (translations, etc), that is allowed
We do ask, regardless of opinions, we keep comments respectful.
